Blood plays a critical role for premature infants, trauma patients, children with blood disorders like Hemophilia, cancer patients, those with chronic kidney diseases, & individuals undergoing major surgeries. Blood, being a lifesaving substance, has no substitute and cannot be artificially manufactured. As such, providing safe blood is a crucial service. Since 1969, the Indian Red Cross Society, Bangalore Urban District, has taken on the responsibility, in collaboration with the government and other organizations, to ensure the supply of safe blood to the most vulnerable in need.
